Hi, my name is Baz and I am the founder of Algonquin Nature Adventures.
It was born out of my love to show international students and tourists one of Canada’s greatest Provincial Parks. I have organized and guided hundreds of multi-night excursions for thousands of international students and tourists studying and traveling in Toronto for over 20 years. Algonquin Nature Adventures evolved from these excursions. I was also an English teacher for international adult students and tourists for over 24 years, so I have very much experience with the customs / sensitivities / beliefs / culture of international students and tourists from dozens and dozens of countries.
Our goal is to provide a safe, high quality, exciting, educational backcountry experience showing international visitors what they want to see and a few things they didn’t expect to see, learn, and do. We know exactly what visitors want to see and do on a backcountry camping excursion. We enjoy working hard for your adventure in Algonquin Park.
We adhere to a strict environmental policy of “leave no trace behind”. We have a strict policy towards racism, sexual harassment, and other unacceptable behavior.
Algonquin Nature Adventures has TICO (Travel Industry Council of Ontario) certification (TICO#50026001), and all the guides have the proper ORCKA (Ontario Recreational Canoeing & Kayaking Association) camping/paddling certification as well as the proper Wilderness First Aid certification.
Our excursion priorities
